Dan's day March 2nd

Today was a good day.  Dan is showing signs of improvements again.  I have been by my father’s bedside each night until sunrise while he was in Cottage ICU.  He is stable and left the ICU this last Friday.  Today, he is talking, responding others, and at times will call out the names of those in his room.  Patience and little steps of improvement are keeping our spirits up.

It is a very long road ahead.  The best signs of hope are:
At one week he awakened and we were thankful.
The following week he started responding to commands even if only once every six hours for 5-minute periods.
Now in to the third week he is talking.
Next, we hope he will soon be able to communicate and respond to us.

All these are signs for hope and that he will recover.  I want to thank all of you for keeping him and the family in your prayers. Hope and patience.
