eagle van met at parma at 10. as we drove up cloudbase dropped below the antennas and we were getting rained on pretty good. we bailed. little john went up about 1pm and was later spotted around westbowl. hopefully he can throw us a bone.
in the meantime the daydreaming was maddening as the sky flexed and breathed with huge amazing clouds everywhere. it looked like maybe one of those surreal once in every couple season days where you boost to cloudbase then ridge soar up the back of one of those leaning towers to 6k or 7k with half your glider in the cloud on each pass. or maybe the super unstable day that could pump you high out of the training hill where you could ride the tailwind to the riveria for a rocket ride to cloudbase(the riveria was booming at 11am) then bench back to the mountains and float the west wind to carp or beyond along the sunline. Or maybe that one screamer over the parking lot at bates with light wind that would let you stay glued to cloudbase down the rincon mountain range to ventura connecting the dots across the oxnard plain and hooking into the grade getting high enough to go otb into the san fernando valley....ahhhhhhhhhhh,,, hopefully someone that got sum can fill in the blanks...little john??? bates crew??? you're killin me ya bastards! i'm hunting you guys down tomorrow....

It was tempting to run up to the training hill on Tuesday and Wednesday. Looked like it had potential to get up and away. Chad’s done it a couple of times. I think it's more likely if you are local.
