Wow! sounds like tons o fun here this weekend! thanks for all the posts. i bounced up to mammoth thursday night as downhill season is coming to an end there. before heading to the gonjala with my bike each day i met up with some friends up there to fly. Friday morning we went up to BoyScout/Bazooka ridge above Lee Vining. Its a great site for PG/Speedflying as it is a 10 minute 2wd road up and LZ is 1:1 under you. We jumped about 11:30 and had pleasant slow climbs. Never got above 9600 but putted north spine to spine a few miles and landed at the bottom of conway pass. Saturday we hucked McGee and i once again never got above 9600 but got to explore all around the mcgee/crawley area staying snug to the terrain in light conditions. Beatuiful views of the glorius Mt. Morrison looking hotter then a playboy bunny basking in the sun. tiMAYYY! took the float of the day, busting through the inversion and getting to 13k and cruised up to smokey bear flats and around the mammoth area. fun way to start each day before doing laps on the mountain. I didnt get any pics of mt. morrison, but here is a vid of my friend dave speed flying it in the winter. he calls it 'my eiger',,,frickin awesome! http://vimeo.com/22892329
