Lots of flying at Chief's over Labor Day weekend

This past weekend a group of pilots was able to head up to Chief’s on both Saturday and Monday with Fly Above All. Both days included a student getting his first high flights, and Monday the group included 3-4 “Chief’s virgins”, in addition to folks that had been there a time or two already and were hoping for some XC. On Saturday Rich got up to 1600’ over launch, and with about 1200' above launch Bob P went west and landed at Nordhoff high school via Three Stooges and Bruce’s. On Monday everyone was at or over 500’ above launch in very pleasant conditions. Having 4000’ feet of altitude from launch to the big clear LZ on the edge of downtown Ojai, and lots of room to play with in between, sure has been fun!
