Nate Scales breaks US and ID foot launch record on a PG

This word just in....Nate Scales (flying his Icepeak 6) flew 198 miles today, out of Sun Valley, Idaho. Unofficially this breaks the US and Idaho foot launch record. A few words from Tony Lang:

"A big congratulations to my good friend and all-around great guy Nate Scales !!! He flew his paraglider approximately 198 miles from Sun Valley, Idaho well into Montana for the new U.S. foot launch record along with the new Idaho state XC distance record earlier today. This follows Farmer's 187 mile flight at the beginning of the month.

I just spoke with Nate and he is getting flown home in a friend's airplane as we speak. That is what I call a retrieve!!! Nate was ecstatic about his 198 miles, but a little bummed out that he just missed flying 200 miles. He said there's always next week!!! These guys are bringing it "full on" this summer."

These boys are really setting the standard high!
