this is a post by kevin lamkin on the "santa barbara pilot zone" on facebook. i'm guessing they landed at scheideck.
Kevin Lamkin "Very rowdy. Me, John, and Jeff got a thousand over, went OTB and landed just past the bar. About an hour flight time. Found a great swimming hole on the way back. Deep enough to jump 20ft."

Sweet. I keep dreaming about going many miles on an XC flight, but I always seem to land right next to the world famous Scheideck bar: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scheideck,_California
