American pilot, Dustin Martin, flew 475 miles(764 kilometers) on July 3 from Zapata, Texas for an new Open Distance World Record for Hang Gliding. Australian, Johnny Durand, did 472. They both went on final glide wingtip to wingtip at sunset, and Dustin squeeked out a few extra miles with his Wills Wing glider. Almost 11 hours of hang danglin. bad ass!

Since our weather of late has been so useless for getting airtime, I guess the next best thing to flying is reading about the success of others.... Congrats to them! 11 hours would be a draining long time in the sky....
