Sunday Tandemonium

forecast didnt look all that great to me this morning. I thought the high clouds that were present this morning were going to linger all day. Rob, Mari and I cruised the Eagle Van to Parma for a 10 o'clock meet time. I was surprised that we ended up with a fairly full van. Got to launch around 10:45 and got the tandem kit ready. The clouds began to fade and come really nice cycles started coming in. Jersey boy Vassilis was first off followed by the Pelican. I think I was third to go. Nothing at the house thermal and nothing at the power line below thermal factory, so i cruised to the round house and ended up frisbeeing in some weak lift over to antenna farm for a nice one that took me high enough to make a move to thermal factory. Quite a bit of west wind drifting us towards shadow peak. My glide getting over to thermal factory stunk, so I headed back to antenna farm and met up with George W. The Pelican was pretty high over the antenna farm at this point. My college girl passenger and I hooked another one with George W that got us to maybe 3500 feet. Headed back to thermal factory. Got in just over the top of the first nob above the power lines and waited around in some zeros until we hooked a fat one with George W that took us to 4600. at 4600, seemed like we felt some of the spray from the north that was being blocked so i headed back out to antenna farm and got the go ahead from SA to head to the beach since we had 2 more tandems that afternoon. decent glide to the beach even with a wsw wind that felt like 12-15kmh up high. flight was about 45 minutes. Mari picked us up in the Eagle van at east beach and we headed up for another round. cycles were lighter and the hangies that we saw setting up when we were high over thermal factory were just starting to chuck off. Cycles were still decent, but didnt hook anything off launch, and headed straight for the antenna farm, but didnt get anything until we headed over the roundhouse. got high enough to bench back to antenna farm again, but couldnt connect above the power lines, so we cruised back to the antenna farm where it seemed like things were beginning to shut down. started our way towards parma, but hit a strong headwind and didnt think i was going to make it, so went for St. marys and had a decent landing in the rotor. looking for some updog tomorrow if the forecast is appealing.
