So what about John's wreckage?

Uh, I knew that. I just wanted to go on the record that I disagree with DD.

Well there you have it, two dissenting opinions (one of which is rather scathing).

Especially from a guy who went from 10k to 17k in a cloud in the same area just two summers ago.

I'm leaving it up for the reasons Mark states.

John,
First, I'm glad that you are ok and still with us. I don't know who we could rely on for the great flight videos, weather forecasts, blogs on epic flights, and the wealth of knowledge that you have in the sport. Second, sorry for the chatter on your frequency that day - I was amazed that I could hear you & Jonathan from my back yard in Moorpark on the HT - one of the PG's told me your secret frequency. Third, in the last few seconds of the video, it looks like you were positioning yourself to unzip and get your legs out - is that right and is that how you finally landed? Fourth, if your glider is retrievable, I'd be glad to help.

Found myself wandering the back roads of Los Padres National Forest this past weekend; camped out 4 nights. Just thought I'd share my video from that day (8/28) of PINE LAUNCH. Next time I'll bring my tripod.
