since i have absolutely nothing else to do and to support the idea that we should post our local flights so we all know what is working or not, i shall report some of today's events. anyone that wants to, can spin their own yarn. lower pressure dragged the marine layer into the ojai valley and altho it cleared by 10ish, the haze remained palpable into the afternoon. altho the surface was not warm and it was 66 at 6, there was delicious instability apparent right off the bat. we had 7 decent pilots and very good launch conditions as we queued up @ 1230. i had the sweetest launch thermal i've ever jumped into at the nuthouse; turning @ 4 times to get over the back ridge. that's an easy escape... chris p and i flew east and aaron & jarrod (correct me if i'm wrong) were following. cooperative thermals, no sharks in the waters, we connected with chief spine. chris and i top landed chiefs and watched aaron ascend to top it too~ nice~!... chris and i made it back to the high school with the usual teeth grinding necessary to push it @ corners into the pm W. max alt 5250. i hope everyone had a great flight, it was a fairly decent day to fly.
