Pine Saturday

Postby Robb » Fri Jul 29, 2011 3:10 pm

If I recall correctly, Dean, Bo, and Mark each flew >100 miles, and SD flew his tandom >90 miles on a late July weekend when thunderstormes in Lockwood prevented those pilots late to launch from following.

Tomorrow looks very similar. just sayin'!

Apparently, either my recollection, or the NWS was off. Since there was no indication of flooding in Lockwood, I'm pretty sure it wasn't me...
We threw our stuff into Brendons truck, and Chris P with Andy D brought his truck to the sand pile. We got to launch and confirmed that Rhonda is working exceptionally well; it was blowing in from the south with a little east at about 20. From there we went to Cheifs for an unexceptional flight to San Antonio school.

Tomorrow is the day, I'm sure of it...

Looking at the weather, you'll need special flyng gear today. Just put these on and click your
heels together while saying "There's no place like cloudbase. There's no place like cloudbase..."

I don't think you missed anything.

RUC, GFS, and NAM (not necessarily in that order) for Edwards:

From now on I'm leaving my gear packed until Southside calls it.

Did get my garage cleaned today though...
