I'd say we got pretty lucky for our first hike up to the nuthouse. The take off spot is steep, like skyport, by much, much smaller (big enough for a glider) with loose rocks like alternator. We were lucky because the wind wasn't too light and it wasn't too strong (6 -

. I think if it's light 3 or less it seems it would be difficult getting off. If it's strong then I can see the same sort of difficulties. But with wind like we had, we were able to pull up, kite for a second, turn around, get our bearings and launch. Brendan or Andy have more to say about it?
Oh, I think you'd better be in shape for the hike up too. It's brutal. You don't want to arrive on launch completely spent.
