Meet time is 10:30 at NHS for Chiefs.

brendan had the truck and tandems sat and sun at chief. sat looked good 2me at launch with boomers in the back country and light rain approaching from the far east. i couldnt wait to launch, skyout and head W over the sunlit terrain - but it was flat. we all landed prop/bacallis. sunday was sunny. marty and i surfed the high road over toward west repeater spine until we could almost feel the E spilling over it. some very strong spiky thermal cores along the high ridge made this a tasty chief flight for me. rob m was off westbound first. tom p, marty and i found some ok NW drifting thermals between the road and chief peak topping out @5700. brendan, rob, tom, marty and i made the hs with a nice tailwind from nordhoff ridge. treeman to prop and bob p to bacallis. pizza and beer (and a driver) both days made it a fun and easy (if not overly challenging) ojai wknd.
