Diana took some videos of us landing. Yes, Marge did fly in a dress with high heeled boots!

What a sweet day! Got to Parma with the Eagle Van surprised to see all the hungry pilots show up for a "sledder". Sweet flights had by all. Everyone made Parma, including Wild Bill and John Anthony, both new Eaglets who each had their 1st and 2nd mountain flights today. Congrats to the Alaskan Polar Bear (Clyde) and Marite, who are adding to their fresh log of Mountain flights. There was one pilot who landed in a tree who has now joined the elite list of pilots who have landed in a tree, myself included. That pilot owes a round of drinks to everyone tonight. New tradition starting tonight. Thanks to Wild Bill who helped to extract the glider without any damage to the wing or the tree. Flight of the day by Carl Thorner who wore out the R&R and the Tit with a 4+ hour flight! Carl doubled his total logged hours in one day! Thanks to OJ for driving up with a number of pilots in his burly Suburban. Art was sending on his new Summit XC. Parma Chris got specked over the thermal factory. How high were you Parma? 4500 feet is my guess. Andy was sending, as usual. Kabir was tagging R&R and the Thermal Factory. What a great day!!! Didn't look as good as it was on paper this morning. Lots of hang gliders out too...Tammi, Dave, Little John, Ben, Guy...How was it for you guys? So stoked to be blessed with soaring weather today!!! Thirsty for more? Soaring will be the only thing you will be thirsty for tomorrow morning after a night of partying on Halloween! Look at the Eagle site in the morning for the meet time and location. www.eagleparagliding.com

Halloween Flying was FUN!
Get to Skyport and see 22 plus pilots watching the light cycle start to build, So a few of us headed for EJ bowl for a higher launch. Bob A, Marge, Ron, Aaron, Allison, Kelly and Tim all had great fun flights. Tim and Aaron worked up towards Alt and the T after soaring the HH. The rest of us flew out toward the RR and the tit and all landed Parma with the exception off Bob who was flying around on his Paraglider like it was a Hanglider (Last a saw him he was at Montecito Peak)

So we hear Ty is taking a second Run in the eagle Van.. Well, my van was at the beach with ICE COLD Tecate's So you know i wasn't trying to land Parma on the first flight, I wanted the beach !

Round 2, Andy D launches Skyport, Then Art and after a few minutes i launch only to see Art was still around Launch.. No Worries we immediately Start to work the lift near then over launch together. Was very Fun Art, i had never thermaled so close to launch with someone and felt so comfortable. We both got a couple hundred over skyport and Art headed west for the HH and i opted to chase Andy over to the thermal factory. As i arrive i see Andy working the light lift next to the rock.. we play around for a for minutes i a slide a bit out front of the thermal factory do a couple of turns with Kip and LUCKY DAY.. here comes a nice thermal, Wanting to get to the beach to make sure Bob doesn't drink all of the Tecate's, I stick my wingtip in the thermal and don't let go till it takes me to about 4200 then IMMEDIATELY take that to the beach.

Art and Andy soon joined along with "LJ" John who was already enjoying the Wonderful weather at the beach.

Such Fun !, So lucky !
