Hydromulching FYI

Postby Aaron » Tue Sep 15, 2009 12:29 pm

Went up to fly at eliminator/skyport today since no TFR/NOTAMS were posted. The planes were very active constantly buzzing the antenna farm, thermal factory, parkers, holy hills, rattlesnake canyon, etc. All this while clouds were popping all over the place at 3500. i called the tower and they said that there are no TFRs but that there will be heavy traffic in the area 7 miles NE of the airport(holy hills area?) within a 4 mile radius of that point(monicito peak to no name??). they also said the big tankers are coming in today too. they said they can open the mountain window but they highly advise against it.

so as Kabir put it, it isnt illegal to fly, but they probably wont send a helicopter after they run us over.

i hung out for about a half hour and watched the show, before throwing in the towel and going back to work.

bummer.

It was so tempting to fly yesterday!
The cummies everywhere, perfect conditions no TFRs just a bunch of planes flying in our way....

But no more temptations
Jason sent me the link to the TFR

so...
Movies anyone?
