It was mucho bueno again (for August )
Specially because we got to fly with Art and Andy and Marty!
Someone had their first flight ever and I got to launch EJ's bowl for the first time.
(my hook knife liked it so much that decide to stay there. if anyone sees it (Lee?) please let me know)
It is a cool launch made more interesting since you cant really see where you are going to and no real alternate LZ
The GPS gives hope though, because it calls for a realistic glide ratio to the beach (??)

It also seems to allow for a nice transition to the upper RR saddle.

The air had a bit more texture than usual, but I dont know if am a bit rusty, or if its cause its august or because of the lack of foliage...

There was a definite layer at 2940 ft cause I dont think anyone made it through it over the Round house.
But Ben, Art, Andy and Marty all made it to the beach.

Thanks to Eagle for the always fun eagle van ride and to Art for the foresight in having a car at the beach (with hangie racks and everything!)

I wonder if tomorrow ........

K

But it did allow for a couple

Wow, long time no fly, and it was worth the wait. It was definitely snippy out there, but everyone held it all together and a few lucky ones made the glide to the sand.

Rob, I must say floats like a butterfly on the Ice Peak 3, and ruled the sky before touching down in Parma to take care of business (more flights for the newbies). I think you have a winning combo with that sexy new pod harness!

Gratuitous photos here:

Ben, nice landing at the beach...you disappointed one onlooker though. He was all excited to see you lawn dart, and you just landed soft as an 'aluminum' feather.

Thanks for the Ride, Rob, and the fun times....As always, a pleasure to fly with the SB gang....sweeeeeet!

If I stayed up and landed at the beach, I wouldn't have been able to take these photos from Parma.
