Anyone have a good way to predict what will be happening at Happy Canyon?

In case you were wondering what you missed today (Sunday): 15-30 mph winds at Happy Canyon between 3:30 and 5:00 (with no signs of abating). No, I didn't launch.

That sounds good (15-30 mph ) ...maybe with a smaller wing, you could have played

So then, Glennster Glenny... might we ask you what speed and direction being reported @ Santa Ynez airport would indicate, from your considerable experience observing the site, optimal flying conditions? Also, it wouldn't hurt to shoot us all the SYV airport phone number...... When I first saw this thread, I thought you'd be the natural one to query re Happy Canyon. If we could squeeze just a wee bit more detail out of you, I am sure "inquiring minds want to know".... The site seems to face roughly westward and a mild breeze at the airport could change into quite an airflow as it channels through the valley.
How much is too much, amigo?

Thanks!
