nuthouse sat probably

Conditions willing, we’re shooting 4 the Nuthouse 2moro, Sat... leaving the high school at 10.

Although the Nuthouse is always an at your own risk adventure, the reward can be really satisfying for the hike/fly paraglider.

i know, and there's more to worry about at the nuthouse than just the insects and hike. the bail lz can be tight and risky. the launch can be tricky too. even the flying while trying to escape the nuthouse ridge can be edgy. its all that stuff that makes getting a mile over that much sweeter.

but today we did not achieve that mile mark; it was me, marty and art trying to escape from alcatraz. i got over the ridge by working the western edge of the spine up to the top. traversed over to the east side where the lift was spotty, turby and east driven. i kept working, and eventually left nordhoff ridge w/ 3900 for an easy cruise to the high school. it seemed like a long if not overly entertaining nuthouse flight. marty and art both landed near the trails at the base of the pyramid after valiant efforts. at least the insects took the day off and it was a fun day in the ojai sun.

The HS may be the milk-run, but it's still wicked fun..;)
