XC League meet Feb 21-22 CANCELLED

Change of plans – The meet is CANCELLED for this weekend. The weather forecast did the old “bait and switch” on us and has much more clouds moving in tomorrow. It also looks like the system that was supposed to remain off our coast until Monday is now moving in midday Sunday. Another big factor in the decision to cancel is that today was supposed to be the better of the next three days and it turned out to be very weak and not very taskable. I flew today, if you want to call it that, and it turned out to be a game of scratch and sniff. I was told that the later flights were marginally better, but still not what was expected. I know there are a lot of you that will be disappointed, me too, but I think you’ll be better off sleeping in tomorrow – trust me. So once again our parade is getting rained on – sorry. Winter is always a volatile time for weather, but it sure seems like we’ve been having more that our share of bad luck over the last few months.

As far as moving the meet to next weekend goes, we’ll have to see. I have some plans for next weekend that I am trying to move around, but I won’t know until next Wed – Thurs whether I can do that or not. I’ll keep you posted.
