Oh, thats the trick hmmmmm.
Sunday, Skyport... Chris G in the house, Bo on launch im right behind him so i can show all these Comp pilots how we do it in SB. I was going to also Show Chris G the way since he hadn't flown here in about 6 months.
OK Bo goes....... what he doesn't get up at the house thermal?...heads for the round house spine, OK i will show him.. I go right behind Bo. Here is my chance..... 1 turn, 2 turns up a little then back down.. better head out... uh ohh! Drilled on the way>>>> again, i have the wires made but that dark canyon on the way to St Mary does not look inviting.. So i head over to the road cut (the one with SUN on it).. looking..... looking....... looking... looking.... Oh and SINKING SINKING SINKING.... time to head down to the Potage stamp....
Was light in the Bail out LZ.. a couple of turns and i do a down wind up hill landing hitting my spot.. not super pretty but a nice and safe landing with no problems....
As far as the hikers were concerned i was Awesome for landing there just so i could have a nice little one way hike for the day.
Thanks for the pick up from Rob in the Eagle Van.
p.s.
I may have had the shortest flight of the day but i did get to redeem the day with a nice little ridge soaring session at the Wilcox with Allison in the afternoon.
Got to Love SB!
