Alternator seems the right call lately, what time? Anyone/everyone in? :D
Hangliding is not the best.
Paragliding is not the best.
Thermal flying IS the best!

Waiting to hear from Brendan in the morning. he has a tandem but should be good for a 10am meet. If a driver is needed let me know as i can call TC in the morning but need to be sure. sounds like there will be a crowd so lets coordinate.

It was even better than yesterday!
DANG!
I got to 7200 above launch
And Doug was even higher over the peak!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to work just a bit to get high (yesterday was really a no-brainer)
And it took forever on the Pico
But the views..... so cool!

Trying to post some pics somewhere...

Here is a video from Sunday. Lots of pilots on launch. Altitude expectations were surely exceded but XC was a tad bit limited. over all just a great day in SB. check it out.

Great pictures! Too bad about those guys that got talked into going to Skyport, even though the previous three days had shown Alternator was the better decision. I guess they didn't want to spend time driving...
At least some of them had a chance to closely study the botany down below launch. For hours.

so there is a challenge launching from skyport somedays. that lends fun to paragliding yes?
Bob H, Ron F and I took that challenge and launched from skyport. from below launch i headed to the rr and after scratching got up to everybody at 6K at the rr. what a stellar day! I cruised back and forth from thermal factory to alternator before landing at east beach (1K over) w/ Bob. I had awesome flights from skyport fri, sat and sunday. It ain't the drive its the Drive...

Don't let them give you a hard time for flying Skyport. They all got crazy high at Alternator and didn't go anywhere...;P
