Going to Plowshare &/or Midway 10/4 and 5

Postby John Fritsche » Thu Sep 18, 2008 11:04 pm

I'm heading to Plowshare and/or Midway, Sat. and Sun., Oct. 4 and 5. If Plow isn't looking good Saturday, we'll drive on to Midway (about another hour further). Camping Saturday night at the KCL campgound (dry camping, but it's free) on the Carrizo Plain National Monument. Again for Sunday, flying site will be determined by the weather. Unlike Plow, Midway can usually be launched until late afternoon. For much more info. about Midway, read my old post which is currently on the fourth page of posts and has last post dated April 20. That was a good weekend (despite what Wickstrom might tell you---ha ha ha, Jim!), and October is typically good flying and comfortable weather out there. For more info., contact me: (805)733-4706 or (661) 204-6875.

Thanks much for the offer, but as of now we don't need a (nother) driver. You're welcome to come fly with us, though. If more people plan to join us, we may need you, but as of now there are just four of us---three pilots and my wife as driver.
