Blackhawk Saturday

Postby Southside » Sun May 04, 2008 9:05 am

Good day at Blackhawk yesterday. Five of us went out. We had one unlucky pilot, two pilots to Baker (Yna and Diablo), Bruce Barmakian to the Nevada state line (118 miles), and me in between at 107 miles. Max altitude: 13,383 ft.

John,

That sounds sweet!! I wanted to go but had a small obligation. It didn't sound too hot either which must have been pleasant to land in but must have been freezing up high. Eighty on the ground which is say 2000 ft. You got to 13000 ft which is a 11000 foot spread. Four degree change per 1000 feet is 44 degree in change so it must have been around 36 degrees or so which is uggh, oh yeah about freezing. Bob A. said he flew to 8000 ft later in the flight which was much more bearable and had a great time.
I'd love to go on one of your trips some time. Ph: 683-0810
