Thanks to who ever cleaned up SkyPort!

I was up giving a couple of SD pilots a site tour of our local launches and LZs today. We stopped up @ SkyPort and someone had replaced some of the old rotten steps with new treated lumber, cleaned off all of the over grown steps and put some mesh on launch.

It looks GREAT!

Thanks from all that use SkyPort.....

I haven't seen Skyport in the last few days and I think the persons who are revamping it have great intentions, but isn't there a risk here to wake up some old demons... ?

As I recall the original "problem" at launch was with the city of SB. Since then the property has been deeded to the USFS. Don't know if it makes any substantive difference.

Personally I think we should have a bed and breakfast resort there with at least a jacuzzi.
There's no time like airtime and no place like cloudbase!
