US Nationals, in the bag!

Postby Tom Pipkin » Sat Jun 30, 2007 2:53 pm

Saturday’s task was to be the U.S. Nationals last day but was again called due to high winds.

Congratulations go out to our local group for a job well done!! Those of us stuck at home had a blast following the day-to-day progress of both the Rat Race and the Nats..

Final results can be found at:

U.S. Nationals http://www.vip2comp.com/files/Nats_Overall.htm
Rat Race http://www.vip2comp.com/rr_results_2007.php

Dean’s 2nd place finish in the Nats (1st U.S. pilot) should boost his ranking up to the top U.S. pilot.

I can’t recall any PG pilot ever being so dominate at that level, wow!

Number One Pilot In The Nation

Postby Ron M » Tue Jul 03, 2007 12:17 pm

All I can say is WOW. Dean Stratton, friend, number one paragliding pilot in the nation for 2007. Straight outta our little Topa community. The guy set a goal, worked on it, got better and better, and then flat out DID it. How cool is that?

Congratulations Dean, I hope you get a chance to tell us a little more about your adventures at the Nats and also give credit where credit is due (I taught him pretty much everything he knows, as he will reluctantly admit) ;o)
