Pre Dawn look at Saturday

The first derivative over time is relatively high as the weather trends toward subsistence. Timing should be critical.

Ojai is probably the more conservative call. It should provide a good lapse rate and block the wind well.

Santa Barbara may present a window for some of us post season diehards. If we can get off and down to The Pass between the block and the building high pressure (with associated building costal stability as the 6K temp climbs rapidly)…

Ojai looks like the better call for Sunday, but its mother’s day, so I suspect half the crew is grounded. The first derivative over time should be lower as the week subsistence will have taken hold and valley temps soar.

I’ll check Debbie again at sunrise, look at the soundings, the Montecito Observation, and the wind aloft forecast when they comes out. Qued up and ready to dash for launch (SB) if the numbers indicate maybe. It’s Saturday!!
