Sometimes it's a good idea just to cherish the really sweet days.  It wasn't the farthest day or the highest day but the weather was beautiful, the sky was picture perfect blue and the pine trees didn't hang up anyone's wing.  I launched early and landed at an abandoned trailer park.  Tom kept urging everyone to come back up and try again.  Finally, we couldn't resist the urge and were glad we tried again.

I soared around for a while at launch and then landed near the road at launch.  OK, OK,..I missed the road and made friends with a bush.  So I launched for the third time, got up to 8,500 and tried to follow Tom west to the cloud.  The cloud seemed stationery, I was sinking, and I remembered who I was following.  I've heard the tales of other pilots trying to follow the Pied Piper.  What was I thinking?  So, I went back and got up again to enjoy the late afternoon colors and spectacular view.  Landed at Sandpile for the first time.  Dan had his video camera out so I even got an instant replay.  Then we headed down the road and got Randall's landing filmed as well.

A day to treasure.
