About the risers: that part is a little fuzzy, but I remember thinking this is strange as I panned my view up to the canopy. The risers were fine, but at the canopy the lines were twisted 180. Half the wing was deflated and may have been tangled in the lines, but that isn't really clear. I gave one pump of both brakes to about 70% of full travel. The wing popped open almost immediately, and my direction of travel never changed.

I only dropped 594 feet before touch down according to my Flytec 4020. Deflation occurred at 2162 and touch down at 1568 on the ridge.

I probably should have thrown my reserve, but being west of the Antenna Farm in a west wind; it didn’t feel like the thing to do. I thought I was going to fix the problem until the last instant.

I will fly with my bar accessible in the future.
