The day looked better on paper than Sunday. We had a 7-degree spread between 6 & 9K. Got a bit of a late start waiting for our tandem passengers. Methane is in town for a few days and he was fired up to see the Q’s in the sky for his visit. We arrived at launch at noon, and the cycles were SW @ 8 to 13. Dane and his tandem passenger punched off first and connected a little out front. JD and Peter Miller both punched off and climbed out nicely. Everybody was getting up at the factory. The lift was sharp and strong. We didn’t get real high at the factory, but connected nicely at the antenna farm. JD was getting 6mph ground speed on his GPS as he pointed west. We headed for Parma and gathered the troops. Dan Keyser came and gave us a boost to pick up Eagle chase at launch, Thanks Dan-O! Got back to launch @ 1:45, and the cycles were a little stronger with lots of west showing on the streamers.

Monday was drier than Sunday, so there weren't nearly as many Q's. Earlier in the morning small Q's were forming at about 3750. We got to launch at noon, and things were pretty clear, with the exception of some high clouds to the NW that seemed to be headed our way. By the time we were all airborne there weren't many Q's at all. There was definitely more drift to the thermals compared to Sunday, and the West swung around to about 15mph a little after 1pm.
