Launched Mount Baden-Powell from 9400 feet at 1:20 p.m. today. Conditions were a little more thermic than what I was geared for, so I flew through a lot of lift before landing next to my Blazer at the trailhead.

Just as I stuffed the wing in the back, a Ranger pulled up next to me. He got out with his clipboard and strode over to me. I was thinking, "Oh shit, here we go..." He sternly asked, "Do you have an Adventure Pass?"

When I replied in the negative he informed me that it was going to cost me a $5.00 ticket. He didn't say anything about the flight, the fact that my wing was poking out the back of my Blazer, or the fact that I was still wearing my bicycle helmet. He either didn't care, or didn't notice, but either way I skated!
