I don't think Benson meant to imply the Mistral 2 is dangerous. I only have about 17 hours on it, but my feeling is that it is an "active" wing that you have to develop a familiarity with and, therefore, a certain comfort level. It wants to perform; it's very quick to respond and that takes time learning. I have not been scared on the wing. The input required to control it has become fairly automatic for me. The end result (so far) has been good performance and no adverse "twitchy" tendencies. To me, it seems as safe as the article suggested.
