Skyport

After take-off I tried to reach the round house ASAP, and than to fly to the sunny side of the RH spine. On my way there I have encountered some BAD sink, 500 ft before I have got to the spine. I intercepted the spine with my AGL fairly low. Just enough to make some figure 8 in front of the spine in search of some lift, and/or to fly straight for a landing at SM LZ. I did get some lift in front, but not enough to make 360, because I was very close to the terrain. After some figure 8 turns in the lift, I managed to catch a nice raising air, and start making some 360 turns.

Lift was good, it took me above the RH and soon I was at the cloud base. Didn't like much that seek and hide show, so I headed straight for the Antenna Farm. SA was there, climbing in some good lift. After getting there, I was below AF level. I founded some sweet lift, and climbed back to the cloud base. SA was some 300 ft away from me, so I decided to check how high I could ride this puppy (talking about good thermal lift). Doing 360s was very strange experience. I was getting anxious after a couple of minutes climbing. My Vario was still beeping "the sweet song of climbing up". Some minutes later the Vario was blinking altitude of 3150ft. I have checked my compass, and then headed straight to the South.

The view was beautiful and magical at the same moment. Clouds around me were so cute and puffy, cotton like. I was in line with the Parma LZ when my Vario displayed 2600ft. Then I saw the beach smiling at me. I could stay back and ride the thermal lift up to the cloud base and down, but landing (again:) at the beach was so much sweeter. I was some 300 yards away from the highway, when I encountered head wind. I stepped on my speed bar and glided over highway, flying over SB Zoo with some 150ft AGL. Then made some figure 8 turns before landing at the beach. Yahoo!!! I called a friend, Aleksandar, to pick me up. He gave me a ride back to Parma Park.

What a beautiful day! It was so much pleasure to fly with all of you that day! Thank you everyone!
