First of all Kent I tried to be very objective in my description of what took place. I do believe both of us were at fault in not keeping an eye on the closest pilot around us. I believe both of us did learn a valuable lesson in what could have been a tragic incident.

My story stands as to what happened. I entered the thermal below you and how it was that this ended up being reversed by you being below me could only be answered if both of us had knowledge of the other's whereabouts. I did not know until it was too late.

I wish I had 10 seconds to avoid you because had that been the case I would have.

The bottom line here is that broken lines are much better than broken bones. We both share responsibility in what happened. This is not a matter of who is the better pilot and how many flights one has. I am sure you are a good pilot and a good person.

I do not remember you appologizing at the time but I accept your appology and I am publicly appologizing to you as well.
