FUN DAY! At launch I got rocketed up 20+ feet before I even made it to the lip. Screamed like a little girl the whole way. You've gotta pay good money at an amusement park for a ride like that! Total blast. Zvi had already headed down the spine so I was surprised when I was able to cruise across and get up over launch. I expected maybe 100 or so feet over but managed to ride it to 6500. REALLY punchy. The edges seemed smooth but the cores were so powerful it really rocked me around. At one point i looked down the spine from 6k and saw Zvi at the same alt just up the spine from twin peaks (I think he managed to get back up near the launch from there). At 6500 I made the dash for stooges. Beautiful air and slightly better than average sink. Hit Stooges with 5 and didn't feel a single bump. Could have headed on to Nordhoff but with nothing over stooges and punchy air over chief i figured i was asking for a beating. I was either going to get hammered in the air, or revisit my favorite coffee berry tree. Neither of which sounded as appealing as the field with Zvi's car parked next to it. Took a leisurely cruise out to the windmill field near San Antonio school and arrived with 4k. Boated around a bit and called it a day. Almost no wind on the ground which was nice. Zvi, Ed and Bruce headed out a few minutes later. Overall, very active but too much fun to be terrified.
