As "luck?" would have it, Eric Stokke and I were on our respective sailboats this weekend tearing up the water in the Goblin Regatta. From my boat I saw the cloud dev. and remarked to my friends "thank goodness! Looks like no one will be flying!" Somehow knowing better, I kept looking. Then I saw hangies tooling around below cloudbase... Later at our awards gathering, Eric (with frown) told me he thought he saw Chad, Jim, and some other pilots go to the beach and that a red glider had circled over the ocean! (Was this you?) =) He looked very sad as he told me how he "Has never seen anyone that stinkn' high arriving at the beach!"

We shared a moment of silence.
