Comments: I launched from "the cross" in Ventura about 2 =yrs ago in strong winds...flying the 'Casey' Saber (Edel, medium). My R brake line broke 10 seconds into the flight but remained attached to the R swivel...couldn't penetrate, got scared, turned downwind & ran to the courtouse (treetop city)...more scared, turned to land deep in the brakes & stalled 75' AGL; prayed this prayer..."save me God!" Canopy inflation followed but pendulum recovery radius was pointing nastily in...4 dislocations, 2 months limping...got off easy. Problem list: rushed launch, poor pre-flight, old equipment = pilot induced stall + 2 yrs to forgive self//over.
