Flying with Simon & Nancy this week. They came to town looking for some XC conditons and timed it right. We got to launch at 10 with Southeast cycles at 3-7. Dan, Tom B., and Philip arrived soon after. Climbed out in my Ambar at the Skyport on the east side, and headed for the double R. Came back as Simon was launching and got up in a fatty then headed to the factory. Simon connected and we headed west. Didn't quite get to the Vor. I felt like I hit some west before getting to the VOR, so I flipped it and figured we try to get to Carp. It was going big at Catherdral and realized later this was a big convergence. Simon and Tom B. were right on my tail, and Tom did get to the VOR before he headed back. When I got to the double R I had strong east drift on my climb. Headed to the factory got high, and floated a very bouyant glide to east beach, arriving with 900 to spare. We will be at Parma at 10:00 am tomorrow the 13th for those who can play hooky.
