Tom B, Phillip, and myself went up to skyport at 9:45. When we arrived at launch SA and two out of town guests were sitting at the rock at launch. Cycles began to pick up around 10:30 and SA and one of his guests launched into good cycles. Soon afterwards Tom B. and Phillip got off and got up over launch and headed to the R/R. By that time SA and guest were on their way to the VOR. Being last the cycles had waned and I sat ready to go for about 10-15 minutes for the cycles to come on again. About this time Tom P. arrived at launch. When I took off the cycles were not as strong as they were eariler, but patience paid off and I got up over launch and took the altitude to the R/R. It was an easy glide with the east wind. It was there I spent most of my time going up to 3800' down to 3200' back and forth. Finally an organized thermal came by with fairly weak lift, but I was able to get up to 4400'. The air was disorganized. There was an east component with the north component at altitude with a south wind down below. One of those days where every direction you took had a head wind. Landed at Parma 1hr 15min total air time.
