Comments Another great day at sky port. Good lapse rate and wind direction, strong cycles at launch, Dan and Bill launched and quickly climbed to 4000', over the TF. So why am I 200' below launch, checking out the snake pit for yet another hike to St. Mary's? Thank goodness it was a good day, I managed to scratch back to 200' over launch. On Bill's advise, I flew to the AF and climbed to 3200'. I tried the TF and was flushed back to the AF. By now Dan and Bill were at 4200' and on there way to the beach. At the AF I experienced very rowdy air that included an asymmetrical collapse. Below was Bob, just making it over the power lines due to parachutage. After climbing to 4300', I headed to the beach with Bob right behind me. As I heard on the ham, this beats going to the Dentist!(Right Zve?) Thanks for the ride up Dan.
