Flew with Spin D and Bob H. Winds were very E all day. The Airport was reporting 120 at 8 when we walked out. RF launched and went to the W facing bowl. I tried launching (first time on a demo Matrix) from the same spot, but flushed in a lull. I landed right by the stairs and by the time I got back RF and BH were circling in the E facing bowl, which was just big enough for two pilots. They landed and I launched and got over 200 right away, the wind had shifted some to the S. I headed down the cliffs to the E thinking just maybe I could make it around the point and on to Henry's Beach. No such luck, half way between the Gap and the Point, where the cliffs face SW, the lift disappeared. I turned and almost made it to the stairs again. By this time it was raining slightly.
