So much for pessimism.

Launched the Skyport into week conditions for a check. Pulled out of thermal at 500 over and climbing. Spiraled down for top landing and briefing.

Relaunch & climb to 800 over. Move over to the R&R and climb slow in week lift to 44. Step up to La Cumbre Peak and arrive just below. Week climb to 5 with better lift to 6,000. Head out to the Training Hill. Round the Brown Pelican over the surf with 1,200 and top land at the Training hill.

First Paraglider to fly to the Training Hill from the mountains on New Years Day.

Also flying were Casey, Art, & Tom Beidler. Casey got to 42 over the R&R but didn’t step up to the Peak. Tom got a couple hundred over and hung out at The Factory. Art got a couple hundred over launch but fell out the front. Pilots also launched from The Alternator but didn’t connect.

The hang glider pilots were at the Peak in mass. A few got up and most all made it out on the glide.
