Claude, Tyson, and myself (Zvi) took off rather late in the day (3:30pm). Clude launched a tandem and landed at Topa Topa elementary. I launched next (tried) in very light wind and ran a good 120' below launch without lifting off. Luckily I did not hurt myself. Tyson launched and had a sled ride to Thatcher. I re-launched and got some lift over twin peaks. I headed west and tried to work the bump below 3 stooges witout much success. I continued west and landed 1/2 mile above the Gridely trailhead in a clearing above an avocado grove. (50 min.)
