I didn't bother giving advance notice to y'all, because no one has expressed interest in the past, but Matt H. and I flew Midway Pk. on Sat. and Sun. Both days were good, especially Sat., when getting down from 7,000 feet (launch is at 3660) was the challenge. This site is another hour past Plowshare on BLM land (possibly on Carrizo Plain Nt'l. Monument land), and like Plow faces NE, but the convergence rarely pushes through that far, and so it's typically launchable and soarable until much later in the day--like well beyond 3:00. On Sat., it seemed best around 4:00. Hope the Owens adenturers and everyone else did well last weekend, too. Ciao...JF.
