Lower lapse rate today and stronger inversion. Andy D. took Brendan, Dave B., Wade and I up to Skyport. We launched before noon and had trouble getting through the lid at 3,300 feet. A litle bit of east wind was moving the thermals around as well. I punched through once and reached 3,800 at the R&R. But it was pretty flat after that. Took a cruise over the fire zone and Riviera; got my first, close-up glimpse of the stark looking foundation of my home on Conejo from the air. Landed at Parma after a 45 minute flight. Dave drove the rig down for us. Maybe it got better later.
