Anybody still around, or has everyone gone off to Utah/Oregon? I was just checking the blip-maps, and they show the highest thermal heights I've ever seen for the Pine area, today: up to 19k! And no wind!

Tomorrow looks a little less altitudinous, and a little windier.

Six PG and the same number of HG made a go of it but the atmosphere proved to be a little too unstable. By 10:30 there were big cumis forming otb and by the time the last of us arrived at launch around 11:30 it was starting to rain. Big drops turned into hail and it didn't let up for about 45 minutes. Any thoughts of launching after the rain stopped were met with an impressive show of lightning strikes and booming thunder. Dean got as far as having his wing laid out when it started to rain so I guss he took the day.

Yep, I figured there'd be some impressive cumi activity out there today, with the monsoonal flow. Sorry you guys didn't score a good day (but glad I didn't miss one!).
