SCPA February Meeting - Date, Time, and Agenda **UPDATED**

Postby Robb » Wed Feb 06, 2008 9:42 pm

THE MEETING IS ON FOR SUNDAY! MEET TIME 10AM AT PARMA; IF WEATHER IS BAD WE WILL GO RIGHT TO THE MEETING. OTHERWISE FLY FIRST THEN MEET AT RON'S HOUSE AT 3PM

The February SCPA meeting is comming up, and it's going to be great. We've got three of the best and most experienced pilots of the paragliding community preparing portions of the meeting so get there early and stay late!

Bo Criss will talk and show pictures about his flight west from Skyport to the Santa Yenez valley

Dean Stratton will talk and show pictures from the Monarca and PWC competitions in Valle De Bravo, Mexico

The Keynote will be Ron Faoro discussing guidlines for response when a pilot has an incident, including the affected pilot, pilots still in the air, and others on the ground. Everyone will eventually be part of one of these groups and needs to understand what is expected.

The plan is to have the meeting on Sunday, February 17, after a beautiful day of flying the range in Santa Barbara. If there is a tsunami, or worse, rain, we may adjust the day/time accordingly. WATCH THIS SPOT FOR UPDATES!

Ron F to lead a discussion on expected behavior when an incident occures. Includes injured pilot, pilots in the air, and pilots/others on the ground. This is very important; everyone will fall into one of the three catagories if they fly for very long. Knowing what is expected will help everyone, especially the injured pilot and their family. 35 min.
