SoCal XC League Meet - Marshall - This Weekend (Aug 11/12)
Posted: Thu Aug 09, 2012 11:32 amHi guys, just a quick reminder for all P3 pilots and above that the the SoCal XC league will be having a two day event at Marshall this weekend (Aug 11/12th):

We will be meeting in the LZ between 9 and 10am and shuttling up to launch around 11am.
The tasks we fly are designed to introduce pilots to XC flying and getting comfortable using their instruments. We have some of the top pilots in the US (if not the world) who come and participate in these events so it is an amazing opportunity to meet and learn from them.
As a bonus we will be treated to the Perseid Meteor shower on Saturday night and what better place to watch then a clear desert sky on top of a mountain in San Bernardino! Camping is available in the LZ and there is a very cool shower facility installed now and more recently a small swimming pool has been setup above the LZ. So come on out and beat the heat by getting some airtime in.
