Big Sur Trip Oct 16-17

The Santa Barbara Soaring Association’s semi annual Big Sur trip will take
place on October 16th and 17th. Big Sur is said to be “one of the most
beautiful sites in California”. In addition to the beauty of Big Sur, the
flying site is special since it is suitable for novice to advanced pilots.
It’s a great place for a tandem or a first high flight. Pilots and
non-pilots always have a great time on our Big Sur weekend trips. The
evening bon-fires are always uniquely entertaining (bring your
instruments). Our Spring trip had all time conditions and this upcoming
trip will surely be one to remember.

The Santa Barbara Soaring Association reserves the two group camp sites at
Plaskett Creek Campground for our members, their families & friends. The
campground is located just off Highway 1. There are picnic tables, fire
pits, flush toilets but there are no shower facilities. There is access
to the beaches at Sand Dollar Beach and at Jade Cove on the other side of
Highway 1.
