US pilot Wins 1st day of HG Worlds!

Postby zippy » Sat Jun 27, 2009 8:54 am

Jeff O'Brien won the first day by a good margine. Dustin and I got in 23rd and 24th putting the US team in 2nd.

Manfred won the 2nd day. Jeff, Dustin, and I made goal in good time. OB dropped to 4th, Dustin and I moved up to 14th &15th, but the Austrians passed us so USA in 3rd now.

Windy early today so they called the day, but it got good and Jonny Durrand, OB, Shapiro and I did an aero demonstration for the festival. It's a huge extravaganza here- quite impressive.

Having a fantastic time flying the French Alps. I'll be off to Zapata for the World Record Encampment when I get back in July.

Hope everyone is getting some good flying in.

Au revoir,
Zippy
