15000 ????

I have never seen a lapse rate like this before. I must go check it out. It looks like you could get to 15000 ft today. That can't be right.......can it? I'll let you know!

Well, I launched E.J. Bowl thanks to a ride up from Bo. Thanks Bo!! It was blowing in good. It's at the limit of a paragliding launch Bo said, and I'm thinking, ughhh I don't have any more horsepower than you in my Falcon but here goes! Went up then down smack smack whoaaaaaaa and couldn't even get over the E.J. spine with a fair amount of west and sink. So with a quartering wind went to R. R. losing a fair amount. Picked up a light thermal in a lot of wind and kept losing on the downwind side. It was drifting me to R & R but with the big holes in the air I stayed away from the terrain. Went to the Tit rock but didn't get much and as soon as I got below 3100 feet it was all over. Came across uppers and the flag went dead so whipped it in there only to see the flag go East about 8 weeeeeeeeeee pound bonk. Broke down in the heat and said F&$ this and went home. I heard from Marge today that some good flying was at Chiefs. Ramey was headed to Eliminater. Hope you all got some. I went and took baby pictures today and tried to stay out of the heat.
